Take Me Home

A few people have been asking me about the Delta track I played this week. "Take Me Home" was a b-side from the "In This Life" single, a wasted opportunity if there ever was one. As I said on air, a big mistake was made when this track was omitted from her third album Delta (2007) because it's one of the most best things she's ever recorded and far superior to many of the album tracks.

With its sensual production and lyrics burning with sexual desire, the "Innocent Eyes" girl is pretty much dead and buried. "It's late, come on, I'm tired...but I don't want to sleep". I wonder what she wants to do? I doubt it's to play a board game.
